Australian Photography Awards (APA) is one of the largest and most celebrated photographic competitions in Australia.

Each year we put the call out for Australia’s most original and thought provoking imagery with the aim to bring people together through photography.

OUR TRIBE

Following trajectory from 2018, we experienced an additional 30% growth across entries, social following and our electronic direct mail (EDM) database. We feel this growth reflects a sound marketing strategy coupled with outstanding customer relations. APA is a brand in which our community feel they are part of. More than anything else we are proud of this.

We decided to exhibit our 2019 winners and it didn’t disappoint

The annual APA Exhibition and Awards Night has become one of the most celebrated events on the arts calendar. Attendees come from all over Australia to celebrate and support each other for the live unveiling of our winners.

It is a fantastic opportunity for APA to publicly thank our sponsors for their ongoing support. Sponsors branding is showcased throughout our digital marketing, trophies and certificates, banners and projection.

With such success in 2019 to a over capacity filled room we are in talks with various venues across Australia’s major city’s for ways to make 2020’s event even bigger and better.

YOUR IMPACT

Our sponsors are at the forefront of everything we do at APA and we feel incredibly proud to stand alongside you. With your ongoing support we continue to grow and strengthen our community and celebrate Australian photography. EMAIL MARKETING

In 2019 we sent more than 20 email campaigns to our database which has grown to over 60,000 subscribers and counting. On each of these emails, we gave special mention to all of our sponsors. We also dedicated an email campaign to each sponsor to allow them to display their own advert.

WEBSITE

Our website is the destination for where all our advertising leads to. Every post and advert is aimed at getting traffic to the website. In 2019 we had 316,893 page views. On the home page and category pages, we feature our valued sponsors.

SOCIAL MEDIA

In 2019 we upped our social game. By investing more money than ever in Facebook and Instagram ads, we were able to expand our reach. In 2019 we produced more video content than any other year. We love featuring photographers who are brand ambassadors to our sponsors. We look forward to growing this further.

THE EXHIBITION

In 2019 we were able to take our competition from online into the real world. The exhibition showcased how our sponsors support is a tangible connection in bringing people together in celebration. Branding was featured heavily throughout the night but more importantly we were able to recognise this support publically.
